Legnobotti dei F.lli De Benedetto was founded around 1950 with the name of Fabbrica di Botti: its peculiar activity is the production of barrels, considered at the time real containers.
Over time, the innovations that affect the storage of wine and oil, deprive the barrel of that important role held for a decade: in the 60s the factory is converted into a company that produces wooden platforms. The first platforms produced by Legnobotti are made for the petrochemical of Brindisi: they are hand-assembled by master coopers.
The advent of the first nailing machine revolutionizes the Legnobotti again: it was in the 70s that the first plant was built close to the future industrial area of Brindisi. The ’80s and’ 90s mark a further implementation in the assembly line: the company produces special cases and packaging on behalf of NATO, as well as suspension packaging for food film reels.
In the last period, in line with the needs of an increasingly demanding market, the company has specialized in heat-shrinkable polyethylene covers.
Today, Legnobotti does not limit itself to producing simple packaging. Its distinctive feature is the ability to shape highly customized products, also taking care of transport and assembly.
